Coming Full Circle

There are times in our lives when we cannot see daylight even when all the lights are on. So it is for Pastor J.T. Thomas.

Forsaken by Vanessa Miller brings its readers into the tumultuous life a man of the cloth whose fabric is riddled with holes of his past and current indiscretions. How the couple will handle the hardships of ‘roosters coming home to roost’ is one that will provoke a myriad of emotions. From beginning to end, the manifestation of how we touch others lives is vividly shown.

Fame Anyone?

A Taste of Fame by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson takes its reader’s on an adventure that is fun, filled with adventure and displays how strong friendships are forged.

The individuals are ones most can identify with. If we are truly honest we can admit that at one time in our life we have been them. Who are they? They are women who love Christ, but are imperfect in their walk.

In their imperfection the ladies have won a cooking contest and now must compete on national television. Their journey to and adventures in New York allow them to discover much about themselves and a world they had only read about or viewed on television.

This is a fun read and if you are into cooking you will appreciate the recipes that are included.

Come And Get It!

This companion cookbook to A Taste of Fame is good one for those looking to step away from the normal rotation of their cooking repertoire.

Beginning cooks may find some of the recipes frustrating in that some of the portions servings and ingredients are missing.

Girl, Naw! - Blog Tour

Debut author LaCricia A’ngelle has written candidly regarding the plight of the necessity for wise counsel.

Antoinette Walker, like all of us has a past.

As a counselor she readily dispensed wisdom that if heeded, could bring closure and healing. In spite of her professional prowess, Antoinette had yet to apply the same methodology to her own situation. Readers may well identify with this young wife, mother and professional struggling to remain in the present when her very real past comes to visit.

LaCricia A’ngelle does an excellent job of combining biblical truth with common sense to present very realistic counseling sessions.

Girl, Naw! Exposes the reader to the very human and vulnerable side of professionals who are viewed as having it all together, but if asked their very real response may well be – Girl, Naw!

Dialogue with the Author

Armed with the standard list of questions most interviewers keep on hand, I pondered which ones I would draw from for today’s piece.

After speaking to Ms. A’ngelle I felt a bit more secure in what I would bring forth. I did because I took off the restraints and wrote from the heart. You see, once you have spent any length of time with LaCricia A’ngelle, your heart has been forever touched by the effervescent author from Tennessee.

Effervescent – bubbling, scintillating, sparkling, sparkling, marked by high spirits. Each of the aforementioned adjectives can certainly be used to describe LaCricia. They can because she is FREE. Within that freedom she is unencumbered by the restraints that too often confine the literary prose. Because she is free she writes with abandon, wisdom, skill and the love of God. The freedom that she exudes in virtually every aspect of her life flows from her pen onto paper as entertainment securely wrapped in ministry.

To aspiring and novice authors she encourages you to step out on the gift God has entrusted to you. In doing so she cautions that there are no shortcuts and that you must take the time to learn the craft.
